Joining the Club
Well, my wife told me she stepped up and introduced herself at one of my Internet hangouts, Combat Carry. This site is dedicated to those of us that choose to take responsibility for our personal and family's safety. If you've ever been interested in any aspects of carrying a concealed handgun for personal defense, head on over and check out the site. There are a lot of knowledgeable sources there.

Whatever Comes to Mind
"Whatever comes to mind." That was my wife's response when I asked her what I should post as my first blog entry. So, there you have it. I have now officially entered the world of the blogosphere.
I suppose this has been a long time in coming. Considering my technical background as a software engineer, you're probably wondering why someone like myself has never done this before. As it turns out, I'm really a man of few words and writing is not something I would consider a pastime for me.
So, why did I decide to start a blog? Well, there are a couple of reasons. First, I wanted to try getting more involved in the developer community; look for me to post interesting tidbits of software development items that I run across in my daily travels.
Another passion of mine is the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (RKBA). I believe it is the right of every individual to possess tools useful in the defense of self and family. As court cases have ruled, law enforcement organizations have no responsibility to protect the individual. So, if ever confronted with a situation requiring protection, it is up to the individual to provide the means of protection for himself.
So, with that, I delve into the realm of the blogosphere.
